To the Ocean

Last weekend, we took a family trip to Charleston to visit Uncle Brad and Aunt Hannah.

Passing time in the car.....

When we arrived we found this guy, a family favorite:

Of course we had to eat, because that's what we do best.  So, we went to The Kickin' Chicken.

The newlyweds.

My grub.

On the way home, we stopped by a local deli and picked up some dessert.  It was all delectable.

Brad had marble cheesecake with strawberries.

Eric got a red velvet cup cake.

Hannah and I shared a piece of New York style cheesecake with strawberry topping.  I'm drooling just thinking about it.

Jonathan was too stuffed with chicken to order any dessert but, he sampled a few bites of ours.

Kyle had a fun time spending the night at Uncle Brad and Aunt Hannah's house.

On Saturday morning we hung out while Hannah made us breakfast - blueberry pancakes and bacon.  Delicious!

As soon as Uncle Brad got off work, we drove to the beach.

It was Kyle's first time in the ocean.

An exciting day at the beach is always finished with a good nap.

  1. I wanna go to the beach SOON!!

  2. Girl, you look awesome!! =) Looks like y'all had a great time! And, um, that kickin' chicken looks delish! How I miss it....

  3. Come on down, I know a free place you can stay :)

  4. P.S. thanks, Kyle, for sleeping through the night. Uncle Brad and Aunt Hannah appreciate it :-)

  5. Seriously, Brad's cheesecake is the size of Texas. And look at Eric's teeny tiny cupcake. He is the only one with self control in the whole bunch.
